Marketing Lead

Job description

As a Marketing Lead, you will build a first-class team around you. You will develop the business strategy and act as an internal expert for all things related to marketing and communication. Focusing on lead generation and growth, you will be accountable for achieving the marketing results.


Your main responsibilities

Develop the Marketing strategy

- Based on the P&L and actuals, build and adapt the marketing plan and strategy

- Negotiate and manage the marketing budget needed to achieve the results

- Take a leading role in refining the Officient branding

- Build bridges across the Sales, Customer Success and Product team

- Lay the marketing foundation for further internationalization


Take accountability for achieving marketing results

- Ensure predictable lead generation for the Sales team

- Coordinate and prioritize marketing efforts across channels and campaigns

- Monitor the different marketing channels, their costs and return (marketing analytics)

- Decide to outsource, stop, or double-down on certain marketing activities when needed

- Build and maintain a network of external providers (outsourcing)

- Balance direct and indirect (partnerships) growth efforts

- Be quick to conduct experiments to find out what works and what doesn’t


Manage and build the Marketing team

- Lead, motivate and coach the Marketing team members

- Participate in the recruitment and hiring process to get the best talent on board


Your experience

- You have 4+ years experience in (B2B) Marketing in a fast growing environment, ideally in a SaaS or PaaS company

- You have the ability to develop a long-term marketing strategy, to identify business opportunities and to translate these in specific marketing plans

- You have a high affinity with digital marketing and digital trends

- You bring an extensive experience in creating, planning, monitoring and optimizing marketing campaigns across channels

- You regularly update KPIs and dashboards demonstrating our performance; analyze results and provide learnings and recommendations on how to improve the performance of new campaigns

- You have excellent communication and persuasion skills which enables you to motivate, drive and engage your team and align the internal stakeholders

- You are an inspiring people manager with proven leadership capabilities

- You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills; written and verbal

- You are proficient in English and Dutch and your French is at good level
